The two red ones have an "alter self" spell on them. You can use them to change how you look for an hour, each one once a day. Those are mostly so you can have long hair sometimes if you want. ;)
The two gold ones have "invisibility" spells. You can be invisible for up to an hour each time. But a lot of things will make you visible again.
The silvery one has a really fun spell called "silent image." It lets you make illusions appear.
