"...and I really don't know where the whole rumor about Asgardians needing to eat golden apples to retain their youth thing came from," he says. "We age and die, just like anything or anyone else. It's like the whole God thing. Who came up with that?" A beat. "I mean, humans, I guess, but why gods? Why not aliens? Aliens -- that's at least accurate. "
Thor smiles over at Quill and leans contentedly over the bar. Chin set in one hand, he idly pours himself another glass with the other, then sets the bottle back down on the counter with an audible, dull glassy sound. He pushes it towards Quill.
"Had you met any Asgardians before you met me?"

He sighed heavily.
"The kid wants to know about Titan." He said. "The plan, anyways. So I'm sticking to what the plan was with him. But man does Pete ask a lot of questions."

"Oh. We agreed. He can never know," Quill said easily. "Just like Rocket. Hell, I'd say you probably shouldn't tell those two either, but I don't know them so that's more a you thing than me."

He looked to Thor and considered the question. He rubbed the back of his neck like there was a knot there.
"If I knew when my end date here was? Yes." He answered. "But since I don't know, I guess knowing now is important. But, at least for now, maybe some should be left in the dark. If only because they're happy here."
I don't want to be the guy to tell a teenager he dies on another planet

"How do you think Loki would react?" He asked curiously.
no subject
If Asgard was going to be sacrificed to stop Hela, it might as well stop Thanos along with it.
no subject
"Loki seems like the type of person who likes to keep shiny things," He replied. "To be honest... I'd probably have kept it too."

He shrugged.
"I like shiny things?" He said. "Sort of an old habit, I guess."

"Okay, no, but -" He said and stopped.
Quill had no follow up.
"Okay, so maybe I started getting some morals or something," He said. "I blame it mostly on Gamora."

He smiled fondly. Quill had nothing but good things to say about Gamora.
"Yeah... she's great, actually." He replied. "Despite Thanos being the one who raised her, she has a great head on her shoulders."

"Right?" Quill agreed. "Which basically makes Gamora a unicorn."
He smiled widely and fondly.

"I know you have your Gamora back home, but would you ever consider seeing somebody here?"

Quill hummed out low and long while he thought about he. Would I?
"Good question." he said. "Maybe? Depends on how long I'm here, I guess."
He took a drink. He paused.
"You know what's funny?" he asked, "If you'd ask me like, a couple of months ago, even though I liked Gamora I would have for sure said yes."
no subject
"Why?"
What changed?
no subject
Quill shrugged.
"I don't know," He said. "Maybe I realized I had actual feelings? She started off as just some hot chick who could kick my ass, you know?"
Quill's lips were loose from the alcohol.

Thor drinks, but his lips aren't loose from the drinking; he's used to oversharing, much to the occasional surprise and discomfort of those around them. Lately, though, there were plenty of things he had been keeping close to the chest.

"Won't really matter when you get home, will it? Since you're going to reverse everything." He said.
Quill glanced to Thor.

"It will until I find him," Thor says. Thanos. "When he was aboard our ship, he didn't acknowledge me. Not even once. Almost every time he spoke it was to my brother."
no subject
"Use that to your advantage," he replied. "If he's underestimating you, let him. That's how you win. Trust me. People underestimate the Guardians pretty much all the time and we kick they ass."
